Grant Thornton offers free nonprofit governance tools

Grant Thornton recently held a Board Governance Institute Webcast, “Staying Ahead of the Curve: How Governance is Changing in Not-For-Profit Organizations.” Participants learned about a number of useful resources the company provides nonprofit board members that are freely available online:

• Board Governance Institute:  A one-stop resource to keep board members and executive management of nonprofit organizations abreast of current and emerging business issues such as accounting, tax, regulatory, governance and operational issues.
• 2007 Board Governance Survey for Not-For-Profit Organizations:  The findings of Grant Thornton’s National Board Governance Survey for Nonprofit Organizations document what organizations are doing – or not doing – in response to the greater national focus on board governance.
